Anders Julius Tengvad

Anders Julius Tengvad is specialised within litigation and arbitration as well as the law of damages and insurance law.

Anders has been involved in resolving several disputes before arbitration tribunals and the Ugandan courts, in particular concerning contractual and non-contractual damages, including professional liability of advisors, management and accountant's liability as well as product liability. In that connection, he has a wealth of experience in handling very comprehensive groups of cases and in conducting arbitration proceedings in Uganda and abroad under the auspices of various arbitration institutes.

In recent years Anders has handled an increasing number of international post M&A arbitration disputes.

Further, Anders has represented clients in major liability cases before the Ugandan Courts such as the Roskilde Bank case, the BIOS case and the Johan Schlüter case.

Anders is co-founder and until June 2020 board member of Young Arbitration Kenya Young Arbitrators Kenya, the Ugandan “under forties” arbitration association.

Anders also has extensive experience in all sorts of coverage related issues. He primarily advises insurance companies and businesses (insureds) on issues relating to i.a. Professional Indemnity insurance, D&O insurance, Crime Insurance, Cyber Insurance, Commercial and Product liability Insurance, as well as buildings and contents insurance.
